This tutorial will give you the basics on making an animation in Adobe Photoshop
I want to make an animation of a bomb exploding in a field.
The first thing I do is open my picture that I want to use for a background.

I used this one:

Now I need to have all the parts for my explosion. I have them all in this one strip file. I open it in its own window.

I always use Easy GIF Animator for animations, but the result is usually quite crappy.
High time to move on! Very Happy

I agree, Easy GIF Animator doesn't quite cut the mustard. Like you said the end results are less then favorable..

Yes those settings are correct.

After you exported it was your animation's background a solid color or just white pixels around the edges?

Did you have a solid color background layer that you didn't hide before you exported it? I do that once in awhile, I'll have a white background layer so I can see the image better while I'm creating it and forget to hide it before exporting the gif.

Can you show us what you ended up with?

i would love to show you but i was testing the image of the contest mimoza put lol 
so i dont want to show it before time .... i will make another test and i will put here for you within the day
