Did you know that originally pink was meant for boys and blue was meant for girls?

In 1918, an article from a trade publication called Earnshaw’s Infants’ Department, declaredthat, since it was derived from red, “Pink is for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl.”

I would agree, I love the color pink. Blue isn't one of my favorite colors, but pink isn't either. If I was to say which is better, I would say Pink.

Very interesting. My whole life I thought Pink was for girls and Blue was for boys. That is why mothers have that certain color depending on the gender(s) of the new comingg baby. This is so interesting. Thank you for sharing.
